Beautiful Setting is the trade name for Mark Goddard’s work as a music engraver/typesetter. Mark has been typesetting music since the early computer setting ‘pioneering days’ of the 1980’s, initially using Score(TM). He founded Spartan Press Music Publishers back in 1989.
In 2003, Mark switched exclusively to Sibelius(TM) and has become a leading expert with the software over the last twenty years. In 2012 Mark switched to a Mac environment and has since complimented his Sibelius skills with expertise in industry standard graphics packages from ‘Adobe’ (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat etc.)
Mark has worked with many clients over the years, both large and small, including A.B.R.S.M., Boosey and Hawkes, Chester Music, Trinity College London, R. Smith & Co., Cramer Music, Pianist Magazine, Pan Educational Music, The Redemption Hymnal, International Piano, Hunt Edition, New Notations, Useful Music, Piano Professional, CelloLid.com and many others. See sample work below.
For a fixed quote, please send your job (or representative samples from it) to mtrgoddard@gmail.com. Price will depend on the number of pages, the complexity of the music and other factors. Final output is usually provided as print ready PDF files, with or without printers’ registration/crop marks, and can be supplied in many other formats as required.
